Sweet Torture
Twisted caramel holds tight around the cannibal’s dinner as it melts the sweet food surrounded by it. The smell of dinner is sickening.
The flashlight has blinded the squishy jelly eyes and burned the soft gummy lips. The lips have hardened and the eyes have changed colors.
Punch and water drip to the floor as silver and gold flash brightly around drawing twizzlers on the flesh. Slowly the throat of the ground grows thirsty for more.
The thirst created by candy is quenched and the juice turns red as it fills. It loosens the stiff gum from the cat’s grip.
The box grows empty as the sweetness is leaving. Quickly licorice is thrown leaving strips and lines.
The dark chocolate consumes and strawberry jam is spilling to the floor. As white chocolate comes forth once again the hunger for sugar is restored.
Flashlights bring awakening upon the weary. Its light brings hope that darkness will come and quickly draws hope away.
Thirst is quenched in the sea and the sparkling water turns red as it fills. Breathing stops as the words of the faithful are kept and continues with the words of the treacherous.
The thermometer drips as it’s broken and the mercury taints the ground. Lead is poured upon like rain in the midst of spring and smoke rises in darkness.
Gold and silver drip from the hands into the bottomless pit. So precious are these that even the strong will bow down and be masticated in the mouth of Lucifer himself.
Ambition is dark as the pigeon is sent. Even the slightest sounds bring down a rain of noise and endless voices calling out for vengeance.
Dark is that night which brings the glory of the faithful and the pain of the traitors for one is punished and rewarded as the other receives eternal slumber.
What is then the reward for pain and what is the curse of gain?
